Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
1. Introduction
Appalize ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in a variety of ways:
2.1 Personal Data
When you register for an account, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Billing information
- User preferences and settings
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our services, including:
- IP address and browser type
- Pages visited and features used
- Time spent on the platform
2.3 How you found us
If you allow marketing cookies, we record the page, campaign tags (UTM) and ad click identifier that first brought you to Appalize, and store them with your account when you sign up. We use this to see which channels bring customers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Process payments and manage your account
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Communicate with you about updates and offers
- Monitor usage patterns and analyze trends
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your information with:
- Service providers who help us operate our business
- Payment processors for subscription management
- Analytics providers to help us improve our services
- Advertising platforms (Meta and Google), only with your consent, as described in section 5
- Law enforcement when required by law
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising and Measurement
This section applies only if you allowed marketing cookies. In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland they are off until you allow them. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off.
- Conversion events. When you create an account or pay, our servers send that event ("registration" or "purchase" with the amount) to Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) and Google (Google Ireland Ltd.). With it we send one-way hashes (SHA-256) of your email address, account id and country and, where available, advertising cookie identifiers (
_fbp,_fbc, the Google Analytics client id), your IP address and browser type. This lets them link the event to an ad and avoid counting it twice. We never send your password, payment details or app data. The Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag in your browser also report page views and the start of a checkout. - Custom and lookalike audiences. We may share hashed email addresses of users who allowed marketing with Meta, grouped as customers, registered users or recently active users. Meta uses them to exclude existing customers from ads or to find similar people. Meta matches the hashes against its own users and then discards those that do not match.
If you withdraw marketing consent (Cookie settings, or Settings → Privacy in the app), we stop sending your data and delete the advertising identifiers stored with your account. Your hashed email is removed from our audiences at their next weekly update. Meta and Google process this data under their own terms and privacy policies. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access to your data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
- Restriction of processing
- Data portability
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run Appalize and, depending on your choice, analytics and marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the website footer or in Settings → Privacy in the app. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
